Are these ideas gaining or losing momentum these days? It's probably a good thing that I didn't see this while I was in college. Cory Doctorow's second novel, Eastern Standard Tribe, was released a couple(?) days ago. There is a section at the beginning called "A note about this book" which I think gets interesting here and is worth reading even if you don't care to read the book itself. (Somebody named Trevor Smith remixed the novel to make each paragraph hyperlinkable; I'm linking to his re-creation.) There's a website where you can convert a sample of your handwriting into a standard TrueType computer font that will work with Windows or Mac OS X. It's called Fontifier and it's free.
